Beyond Bullet Points? High Resolution Image Sources
In working at trying to convert some of my presentations to be more in-line with Cliff Atkinson’s Beyond Bullets book I needed to find inexpensive sources of high resolution images. I found that stock photography sites are generally pretty expensive (like $150 per picture!!!). After some research I was able to find several sites that offer really great quality images for free!
Here they are…
stock.xchng
120,607 Images! All free. You have to register but it is free to get an account.
morgueFile (yes…that is the name of the site)
These guys even have a blog with RSS feeds for recently added images.
FreeFoto.com
64,628 Images
stockvault.net
Only about 1800 images but pretty cool stuff
Enjoy!

Stock.xchng is the BEST source for free photos. Many people practice their photography here and then go on to selling stock online.
The nice thing about SXC is that they don't allow just any old photo on their site. Even if they are allowing free downloads, they still review the images.
Many photographers (like me) will also put a limited selection and/or smaller versions of their commercial photos on SXC to help those who can't afford photos and also to promote their work. I would certainly have to say it is great stock site that is well designed and maintained!
